Recycle

It's become pretty clear that we all need to be doing our part to help the environment. At Sea to Sky, we do what we can by following industry best practices for configuring, managing, and disposing of computer equipment. We offer a full range of lower power consumption workstations, laptops, and servers, which can save you money on your power bill, while simultaneously reducing your carbon footprint. In addition, we can configure your equipment to sleep or shut off overnight, so that employees can't accidentally leave their systems running 24x7.

When it comes time to replace or dispose of your old equipment, we work with Free Geek, a local technology recycling centre, who will salvage anything that's usable, and build it into a low-cost machine for local low income families. If that isn't possible, or the hardware is non functional, they'll properly recycle each component in an ethical fashion. This is a major improvement over other 'recycling' operations, which are continually dumping used equipment into piles overseas, and burning it within a few feet of peoples homes.

"Sea To Sky has provided IT support for our office for over 5 years. From keeping track of our domains for us and managing our Exchange server to dealing with new equipment acquisitions, setup and maintenance, the Sea To Sky team is always quick to respond, friendly and efficient – often reminding us of important updates and domain name expiries. Highly recommended."

"The Liberal Party of Canada in BC is a small organization with large IT needs. With both full-time and rotating staff, we have security concerns as well as reliability and uptime issues. Sea to Sky started working with us in August 2009, at which point they replaced a majority of our infrastructure, and restructured our IT policies and procedures to streamline our systems. Their attention to detail and our budgetary constraints has been excellent, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone."
